on the
occasion
of the
23rd session of the KIA
Dear
Scientists
and
Researchers,
I am
deeply
honored
to
welcome
all of
you
distinguished
participants
from the
Islamic
Republic
of Iran
and the
other
countries
to the
23rd
Khwarizmi
International
Award
which
occurs
this
week in
February
7, 2010.
As per
the
historical
background
of KIA
in the
last 23
years,
this
session
also
showcases
unique
ideas,
innovations,
products,
technologies
and
services
and
solutions
that can
drive
Iran and
the rest
of the
world
forward
into the
future. more
The awarding ceremony of the 23rd Khwarizmi International Award was held on the
7th
February, 2010.
The awarding ceremony was open to the scientific community with 2015 people
gathering to celebrate the achievements of the KIA Laureates. It was held at
the prestigious OIC building located in Tehran, in conjunction with an
exhibition of the outcomes of the KIA Laureates' research works.

KIA First Laureate, Professor Noboru Fujihara,
from Japan.
Professor
Noboru Fujihara, graduated from Kyushu University in Animal Science has tried to develop new methods for keeping wild animal biodiversity in the future using genetic engineering, cellular biology, inter-specific chimera production, animal cloning and some other related technologies.
